Hi I've been looking around on here a while and this will be my first post. Just bought a new to me 2008 lmm. Has 115000 miles on it and I have no idea what it's been through. It is in the shop right now getting a new turbo on the dealerships dime. I have already ordered a full mbrp 4" exhaust with dpf delete and a h and s race tuner. I have painted the exhaust now before installing. My question is should I hold of on exhaust and tuner to make sure the turbo is going to hold up, hold off on exhaust alone, or go ahead and install both. Tuner has ability to egr delete with no plate or kit. Should I do one or the other anyway. Is there any other small tricks of the trade besides air box mod? I don't want to go all out performance but want longevity of the motor and best mpg. Horsepower is a well liked biproduct. Also lets just say this will be used in endurance races offroad only.

I would give it a couple weeks just to make sure the turbo is going to be ok.Is it reman or brand new? When you do the exhaust you have to atleast do the tuner to cancel out any lights, just do it all at the same time.I would probably do EFI instead of the H@S but thats my oppinion, also do the Trans go jr kit in the trans to help the tranny.

Thanks for the welcomes. I am not sure if the turbo is new or reman but will ask when I pick the truck up in the morning. I wanted to go with efi live but was having trouble getting the dpf delete at the time. The egr delete or plate, which will be better long term? Pros and cons? The transgo, I am kinda scared of transmissions lol. I am pretty mechanically inclined but transmissions I have always steered clear of. How hard is it to do for someone with no Allison, or any transmission for that matter, experience?

Oh yea Pcv delete. Sure I can research and find out but if anyone is bored and wants to chime in, how hard to do is it?

Welcome to the site, lots of good helpful/knowledgable people here willing to help.
:welcome9:

I would wait till the turbo checks out ok before doing the exhaust and tune. I as well would have gone with EFI live but you've already got it. You could put it up for sale on ebay, craigslist, or the site if you wanted. You'll which over to EFI live, they always do!! haha :thumb:

Being you're planning on replacing the exhaust I would spend the $130 and get an aftermarket down pipe to take away some restriction and give it a throatier exhaust tone.

Ok so this is totally unrelated to why I was asking before. I picked my truck up and still had a maf sensor throwing a light. Before turbo swap it would say engine power reduced but it was not actually reduced. Now after swap it is still saying it and the power is reduced. I took it back of course but anyone know from experience what it could be. What was wrong with turbo apparently is it was bypassing oil into the intake tubes.
