This is my first post on this forum, so it will take me a bit to get to know the trolls and the serious ones.lol

I have an 01 LB7 on 35s. All I have done is a pro fab turbo horn and chopped the stock exhaust in the mean time. Since I have to many toys to begin with, I dont think Im going to be getting a new turbo anytime soon (trying to buy a home). But I am looking to open the motor up a bit and keep it reliable +mpgs.

Some of the things I have been thinking about getting and I would really appreciate it if you guys can throw some suggestions out:

5" straight pipe (maybe 4?)
bills 4" intake (if he ever builds one)
pro fab down pipe
CTS insight just to monitor everything (just as cheap as guage pod) with EGT
Maybe light EFI?
Port and polish ihi

anything else?

Sounds like you have done a little research and reading before posting. That's a solid list, sounds good.

well thank you for the input! who should I have do my tune? What should I put away for the Trans? I drive like a maniac so I may need something a bullet proof transmission. Currently I only have 140K miles on my rig and changed most of the injectors out when it was under warranty.

Ouch.lol Hope fully it doesnt burn out this year. Maybe I will just run an economy tune and mods for now and call it a day ? when do you usually have to redo the injectors? On top of all this, where would I find a new interior door handle?

I have run tunes from a few different tuners and I like the way Rob Coddens at ATP has tuned my truck the best. That said, every single tuner that sponsors this forum has done pretty badass things when it comes to computers and efi live lol

$4000+ is what it is going to cost you for a good transmission build with a good torque converter.

Where abouts are you from? That would dictate who to go to for a good trans build. There are a bunch of reputable Allison builders everywhere. Trust me, drop the money for a good build, don't go with anything cheap from a local guy "who knows what he's doing"

I'm out of northern California. I dont really have the funds to build up the transmission at the moment, and im not really sure if anyone good can tune my truck. Maybe an ECM trade in at ridgerunner or Creaturesofthenight?
