My buddy has a v2 and am buying the tunes from Idaho rob heard he was arguably the best. But yes my buddy said that I would be limited also, but I heard they can send you updates on your tunes. So I figured I would get the dsp 5 so I only had to get it once and just get my tunes updated with my mods. Because I am eventually Planning building the trans. And at the same time I was thinking about the weather because I live in utah and I didn't want a fast tune or something for the snow. Or would it even make a difference? ?

You can always have a stock tune if you dont want alota hp in the winter and yes you can always get new tunes when you upgrade your truck.

Yes. Robs Race stock trans tune is Different from his Built trans race tune. They will sent you the common 5 tunes that most people will want.

Everyone seems to run EFI Live. I had been looking at a Banks Power Pack but wonder if this is not the right route. How do you go about choosing?

Dude this is very simple your bps5 gets plugged in to your ecm then u send a tuner your stock tune he writes your tunes and u up load them and any of the bigger tuners will walk u threw it is very easy I have tony at Rodger runners built trans tuning but my dd is his stock trans race tune and it rips ass if u havn't bought tunes yet I'd give him a call

Efi live is tuning meaning it rewrites the computer so all the truck is working together to get you performance. Where as a banks power chip is a chip you plug in to fool the computer into getting you performance. I've always been taught they both do the job but for long term reliability get a tune instead of a chip there not as rough on your truck in the long term. And a tune is simply the program that rewrites the computer. You can have endless possibilities with the tunes and can change just about anything with the tune..... you can even do some big damage to like blowing up a turbo or even a engine if your not careful and know what your doin. I explaned it best of my knowledge if any other guys think I missed something or got something wrong these guys will let ya kno. But my advice is to get the efi live.

Thanks for the information. As far as reliability goes I would think banks or anyone else would have to be reliable or they would not stay in business. Sounds like EFI live is the way to go, I just am looking at what will be best but economical for my truck. Thanks for everyone's help on explaining this to me. Lots of good info from you guys.
