hows it going dmax.com im actually joining this forum to learn more about my dads truck. he has an 04 3500 2wd DRW he uses to haul his fith wheel camper im not sure of the engine code so im not up on all the dmax slang.

the truck has 67,xxx mile on it with a banks exhaust and a bully dog programer

and here is the truck hooked up to the 38ft camper :thumb:

:happy2::nana::welcome7: the 8th digit in the vin will tell you what motor it has if its a 1 its lb7 if its a 2 its an lly motor. This is a great site im sure you'll enjoy it and learn alot.

Its better than all lol. It really just depends which one of these motors you get attached to

well then i guess LB7 ftw haha i like the truck u can really feel the difference when u turn it up to tow stage on the bully dog tuner

I like the lb7s better, bigger injectors.people will say that injectors are an issue but if you have gotten the lastest upgraded 1s then you shouldnt have an issue.Replacing them sucks big time the lly and lbz are much easier but you shouldnt have to be in there that offten anyways.1 of the biggest helps to the Lb7 motor make sure you either open up or the stock air horn or try the true flow or pro flow air horn the lb7 has to suck its air thru a little straw LOL.

I don't know if the injectors have been upgraded and where is this air horn located not familiar with the engine or it's parts locations

i dont know yet how to add pics on here but the air horn bolts to the turbo on 1 end and the other end the plastic airair cleaner tube slips onto the end of the air horn try this lost of info http://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/...=lb7+turbo+mod
