Hey guys new to the forum. I bought a 2003 Duramax 6.6 turbo diesel but this thing puffs out white smoke I already checked the cooling system and no signs of water getting into the engine. The person I purchased it from told me that it needed injectors but I'm not sure on that. Different people have told me different things I had one guy tell me that the engine was toast and needed a new one had a another guy tell me that the tank had water in it so i bought something to clean it out the tank and nothing the truck still smokes white. I did a balance test but I'm not really sure on what I'm looking at here maybe you guys know what I pulled the dipstick out and looked at the oil and it is black I sniffed it and it smelled like diesel also the truck is throwing out a code iirc it is maf stuck in performance can that cause the truck to smoke white?

Does the truck smoke white at idle and clear up when you start driving, or does it smoke all the time? 9 times out of 10 what you're describing is injectors, especially on an LB7 truck. Fuel in the oil is an even bigger indicator of an injector problem.
this is what i get for all that is while I'm in park and sometimes they will all go to 0.0mm3 but only for a second then they go back to that
