My 05 totaled. Interior fire. No injuries and not really sure what caused it but the interior is trashed. Really hoping to buy it back but have not heard from insurance yet.

At any rate, I'm buying a new truck in the fall. Possibly brand new depending on deals available but most likely a used '15 with 15-25k miles. But I am torn. Torn between an F250 and a Sierra/Silverado 2500. The 11-14 super duty is a nicer truck than the 11-14 GM. In my opinion anyway. I've driven a lot of both at work. The Ford's squeak and rattle less and the interior holds up better. I'm comparing the XLT Ford to the LT GM.

But I'm looking for real world feedback on the current body style GM trucks. Those that have them and have put some miles on them have you noticed any annoying noises or cheapness that bugs you?

If you decide to fix it I have 90% of the tan interior out of an 05' Silverado Crew Cab LT. Was fully loaded with Bose sound and leather seats.

Appreciate it. Where are you located? I imagine shipping would be crazy for seats, dash, headliner etc.

I've been thinking if I can keep it I might cut the frame down and slide it under the k5. But I haven't ruled out fixing it up a little and making it a mega truck on tractor tires and 5 tons.

Well after pricing and a lot of thinking I've pretty much talked myself out new/almost new. I just didn't love either truck enough to spend $40k+. An older friend of mine has a cherry '10 lmm. If we can come together on a price and I can swing it this will be the new ride

If not probably just pickup a cheap lb7 to beat around till I find what I want.

It is fully deleted, motor ops tuning, 4"lift, 35 toyos (new), tinted, tool box, fuel lethal 20's, lift pump, 5" exhaust, weather techs front and back and its got 28,000 on the clock...

Congrats on the new truck. Hate to hear about the fire but getting a nice truck off of a friend, hopefully you know most of the history and don't have to worry about buying one from a stranger. Not knowing how it was treated.

New truck looks great, post some better pics when you get a chance

Thanks. Yeah I know history from the mile 3 or whenever he bought it off the showroom floor. Never been to a shop or had repairs. Oil changes by him every 8k miles and FF every 3rd. It has a hidden hitch gooseneck ball that had never been locked to a trailer. Interior is mint. Paint has 2 scratches and a small dent in bed

Slowly been chasing a couple normal gm rattles and found the last one today. It's funny how having such a nice truck has changed how I treat my vehicle. I was never one to worry about being dirty or buying seat covers and good floor mats. Never washed or cleaned a truck regularly. But this one got heavy duty seat covers, I always wash up before I get in it, I keep a towel over the console, and wash it every 2 weeks. I drove it to a buddy's shop this morning and the road was a mud hole. Water half way up the tires in a few places Had to use 4x4 just to get there. It sucked. Wish I'd have driven my blazer. Any other truck I've had wouldn't have bothered me a bit.
Before I did anything.

Still going to color match mirrors, door handles, hood vents and the entire front bumper. One of these days.

Yep, def my favorite color GM truck! And in a CCSB. Pure awesome! If it has black leather interior, I truly cover your truck. LOL
It is indeed black leather with the 40/20/40 bench
It's definitely a sharp truck!

Thanks, your truck running and working well?

Yes sir, set the battery in the toolbox and got a HSP tank/reservoir and new drain gasket so no more leaks (coolant or oil). Just need to trim the manifold heat shield where it rattles.

Thanks for all the help again!
