Please let us know. David did a bunch to my truck and did a great job.

I'm going to be doing some extensive testing on the intercooler. Using a couple of Edge EAS temperature sensors that I can watch on my CTS monitor I will be able to see my pre and post charge air temps with the stock intercooler then install the DTS unit and compare the temp differences. ll be able to see what kind of charge air temp drop the larger DTS unit offers.

Intercooler is in the truck, fit was great, stock pipes and boots fit right up no problem. Will be doing some testing tomorrow. Haven't had a chance to drive it yet tonight...

What is the purpose of the "straps" on the end tanks? I'm assuming to stiffen it up and hold more PSI, but I'm not seeing any rhyme or reason on the placement (no weld joints they go over or anything) and they are different on each side.

Initial testing is showing good improvement in charge temperatures and EGT's. Need to get a load behind the truck and see how it does while towing, with the numbers I'm seeing driving unloaded, should make a significant improvement with a trailer behind me.

Very pleased so far :thumb:

We have more gussets welded inside the tanks that not only add strength but they are placed and bent to divert the incoming and outgoing air into and out of the core of the intercooler. The straps are placed exactly where they need to be to support the tanks where the internal gussets are not. We also add a crease in the middle of each strap to strengthen the strap so it adds lateral stabilty to the tanks for balloon prevention. Hope this clears up your questions DMAXD.

Glad it is working out for you jdub, please keep us informed on your discovery. Also dont forget to give us the wideopen throttle results.
If you have them, please post the egts of both the before and after the DTS intercooler. Thankyou

Looks beautiful:thumb:....can't wait to hear how it works for you jdub. What turbo are you running? How much boost will you be putting through it?

Stock IHI turbo for now, only making about 24-25psi at my elevation. EGT's cruising at 70 are down almost 80-degress, and this is at just 2-3psi, when compressor discharge temps are low. I'd imagine one you're doing some towing and running higher consistent boost levels, that EGT drop will be even more noticeable.
