New race truck build

So my father n law and I picked up this 05 for dirt cheap. Motor is locked up but the plan is to put my built motor and trans in it and put my father n laws 49 Chevy body on. It will be 4 linked, coil overs, torsion bars removed, and converted into a short bed. Should be. Fun truck once we are done!

Will do. Plan on pulling cab off this weekend. I'll be doing basically all the chassis work and motor work while he will be the body man. Lol. Hopefully the motor is okay and I'm able to do a mild build on it to go back in my crew cab.

He said it's a little beat up. It's a 5 window 3/4 ton is what he had told me. I haven't seen it yet. Also said it needs a bed. He pulled the cab and front end off to put it on a blazer and was going to put a ls motor in it but I told him this would be cheaper and pretty cool looking when we where done.

Well I figure since I'm putting my 18k trans, motor and other parts in it and he bought the truck for 700, he can put$17,300 to make it half and half. Lol

Got the cab and front end off. Need to invest in a two post lift. The cab was a pain. The motor is locked up good and rat crap everywhere.

Motor and trans is out, wiring harness stripper from the cab, now to decide if I want the ac system or find something smaller to use.
