Well just put this on. How does it look? It is an s480 cover that had a v band flange welded on. Bought it from a member.

Not sure who welded the cover

Not tryin to be a dick I'm just a welder by trade and bad welds stand out to me there is a definate lack of fusion going on there. Where the weld jumped arc to the flange and left the clam shell. Should be fine just check for leaks could be fixed with a tig very easily and cheaply

Most likely will be fine, and sorry for bein a downer

I doubt there's any leaks with the weld. I sold him the cover which I bought from a member on here also. Decided not to use and Matt picked it up from me. The weld isn't the prettiest but it gets the job done and works.

I take it you had the non comp cover first and added the comp cover later and would say it's wroth the money from the start?

Spooling quicker, maybe a pound or two more boost, could also be the cool air. I paid 200 , shipping included, I say it was worth it. My tow tune usef to hit 42-44, now its 45-48. But I have a fuel leak so no track today.:mad:
