New injector problem

New injectors were installed on my truck before I bought it. 30,000 miles later I have two going bad. +5 and +3??? Anyone ever had this happen before?

People have had bad injectors right out of the box. It happens. Much of it depends on who did the rebuilding....

You could try the upper engine cleaner and see if it helps.

A certified diesel mechanic did em. That's horrible. I'm sure theirs no warranty either! Did the upper cleanse about a month ago. Lowered it below spec but now it's back.

I meant who rebuilt the injectors, not who installed them.

i am having the same problem right now, having two bad and i got them from merchant. Running cat filter. Some are starting to show high threes and low 4's with a big wopping 10,000 miles on them. Just about to do head gaskets, sucks but i think i will do my purchasing through Lincoln diesel next to see how their injectors do.

Where does merchant get there injectors from?

I heard from exergy but I could be wrong. That's the whole reason I purchased from them though

If you are under a year they will warranty them unless they determined bad fuel or contamination caused it.
