Sounds like you'll be close to the mountains which is good. The more north and east in ABQ you live the nicer it is. Shoot us a PM when you visit and we can meet up. If you need help or someone to show you around let us know! Local diesel event is June 30th I think

Well unfortunately, the previous owner dealt my truck a huge blow and TRASHED the trans, flex plate, transfer case, and exhaust, so first JOSH H in Dallas will get her going with a new core trans, flex plate, transfer case, exhaust and any other essentials needed to get her running. when I get my truck back to NM the planning begins. The nice thing is, I bought this LBZ at a great price to cover this carnage.

That's a crazy coincidence! As my brother already mentioned, we houseboat every year there at the same time. Same week of September. First beers are from our stockpile! Looking forward to meeting you when you get down here!

That's crazy! My woman's dad lives in Albuquerque and owns APMS (Albuquerque pet memorial services) and they go there that same time every year. He has powerstroke trucks and gets all his mechanic work done by Spears automotive I'm not sure if you would know them or not? I used to go to albuquerque quite a bit for a month at time to Jackson's MMA (winklejohns) I actually loved it in Albuquerque

Jackson's camp has had a lot of big name fighters train here that's a fact and MMA is HUGE here. It has a lot to do with the high elevation training aspect. I've never heard of Spears Auto. There are not many dedicated diesel repair shops in town and the 4 or 5 we have are good but predictably Powerstroke focused. They don't get involved in the performance stuff at all.

Being that you are from the Midwest (the beating heart of diesel motorsports) comparatively there is nothing to get excited about. We have a diesel event at our track every year and its a lot of fun. A small group of us diesel guys hang out a lot though and go to dinner on weekends and get lunch during the week and even hit the lake together. We all help eachother out on our trucks or just watch drink beer and laugh when the other one screws up lol. A good group of guys though and we all have good connections for diesel stuff. As of now there is not one diesel performance shop (brick/moartar) in town. Just repair shops that make a fortune off power strokes. It would be different if our economy wasn't so bad.

Sounds like there needs to be an attempt to change all that lol, so I'm assuming you have one of the only built trucks there?

Yes. There are some others regionally nearby but as for "in town" yes. A lot of the cummins guys local claim this and that but can't back it up at the track and just blow smoke around town lol. There is one other built motor truck in Farmington NM but he never comes here to race and Blake (Sickll7crenshaw) is knocking on 11s door. That's about as good as it gets. Def a lot of trucks around just not as heavily modded as ours.
