New headlight sealing

I see the area that needs to be sealed around the headlight..but what type of sealant should be used? These have not been opened up, I just received them from Amazon, but want to seal just for added protection.

I would use polyurethane sealant. Can be found at the hardware store. Something like sika 1a or Volkem, Loctite, etc

I do t use silicone much any more. The bond strength is just too low in my opinion

To low to hold a headlight housing on? All you need is a water tight seal and I would rather have something I can get apart. Polyurethane glues are bad ass if you want it almost indestructible.

I used windshield adhesive last time because I had some laying around and it’s fine.

Maybe some butly tape. Used it when I had mine apart to reseal them. I know your not pulling them apart but its just another option to throw out there.
