Love the pics! Man, Salerno has come a long way since those photos bro. I did not realize all of the area was tents like that. BTW, no chance we would get away with the pool. My unit is very strict about stuff. We would get scuffed up major doing something like that.

2008 was spent in Kandahar and Bagram. Been based here all year, but my company has Soldiers at five FOBs total. Of all the ones I have been to, I like Salerno the best. If it were not for all the constant rocket attacks it would be perfect. All the roads are paved here now (mostly) and provides a good run route. The gym is good. They just opened a second DFAC. My guys have expanded the Ammo Supply Point and the bulk fuel operation here on Salerno. It is the largest in Afghanistan now except for Bagram. It is definitely a huge mission, but rewarding!

Thanks for the advice on the EFI guys. I think I am pretty much convinced by all the folks that have sworn by it. I guess my next question would be which exhaust and gauges? Correct me if I am wrong, but EFI has no readout screen, so I am basically going to need a pillar mount with round gauges?

Go with EFI Live with DSP5 so you can run 5 different tunes, one for your daily commute and one for towing and a couple for fun. I also say if you want a nice display get the Edge Insight CTS to use with your EFI live tunes, you can also use it as your DSP5 switch. Also with EFI Live you can tune in turbine braking, so no need for an exhaust brake.

That is what I was planning on. Lots of guys recommended this setup. Thanks for the advice.:thumb:
