Hey all, just getting into the diesel community. This winter I bought a 2005 gmc lly. Yea I know lly's aren't ideal... But I basically stole the thing. It needed tons of work but it was no problem cause I was working at a small dealership that sells only duramaxes. I'll start a build thread at some point but first wanted to introduce myself and say hello!

Yea with the exception to the notorious head gasket issues, which my truck just starting showing symptoms of out of nowhere

And LLY's are the best, no injector issues like the LB7, and no piston worries like the LBZ. :thumb:

Welcome. I'm in Maine as well!!! If your driving that beast in the winter undercoat it with fluid film. The liquid salt they use here will rust that truck out quick!!,
