thaks to everyone, i'm trying to build a little better than stock puller, probably 2.6 workstock, and stay married at the same time lol, have been told a torque converter upgrade and a shift kit will save me for now and would be a cheaper upgrade than the $5K extreme allison I found in a local shop, any ideas

I personally have'nt done much business there but he is pretty good with allisons. I get alot of my stuff through a friend who can get me anything i want at a far better price. They do have a very nice shop with a good dyno in house. They usually have a open house and dyno day every year. He usually gets on here and advertises it when they are getting ready to have it.

Welcome. Tim builds good trannys. Go up and talk to him in person, hes a good guy, and he will stand behind his work. Ive been there a few nights when hes stayed to fix a transmissions that were broke, or messed up because of the owner of the truck not too long after the build. He always makes sure he does what he can. Hell, ive seem him stay late to help fix transmissions that other people have messed up trying to build. Hes a good guy, and im pretty sure theyre the only suncoast dealer in this area, so if you want a suncoast, you wont get better prices around here. Just know what you buy, i know some people around here (missouri) are throwing together kits, and selling it as a stage 4 for a really good price, but most likely its not suncoast or a Mike L kit.

Also, a torque converter is a must, but a shift kit alone wont do shit for you. Transgo kits alone have proven to be helpful for the 6 speed allisons (lbzs- lmms) but not the 5 speeds.
