Hi Guys,

My name is Tony and I just recently purchased a 2006 Duramax 4X4 with 169,000 miles. It was purchased to pull my 3 horse bumper pull trailer and soon to purchase 3 horse goose neck with living quarters. However, I find myself driving it daily. I'm not quite confident enough to do any upgrades to it myself but would like to find a diesel performance shop Somewhere close to Charlotte, NC that I can refer to. ( I haven't found any as of yet). My hope is to gain better gas mileage for daily driving and towing. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

thank you.

Welcome from Concord! Diesel Addiction is about 4 hours away near Wilmington. I work on my own stuff but when I don't I take it there. Ben Mynatt and Randy Marion Chevy have treated me well in the past. I can also help depending on what you want to do. Avoid going to Midgets Diesel performance. Have fun with your new toy :thumb:

Guys,

thank you all for your responses. I really would love to learn how to do my own stuff. I'm just not confident enough to do it on a diesel. I don't have any issues working on gas engines as I have a 47 chevy pickup in the restoration class at Central Piedmont Community College. It's cheaper to fix a gas engine if I screw up. I can't afford to screw up a diesel engine. LOL. I really like my truck. I really just want to add an edge insight and a tune that will give me better gas mileage for towing and daily driving. I'm not going to be racing or anything but ideally if I can pull my horse trailers at around 75mph and gain some gas mileage I would be straight.
