Extremely mad right now. I just bought my new 07 LBZ not even a month ago, in stock form, and has been in the garage for weeks getting lifted, new wheels/tires, exhaust, egr removed, edge race installed, detailed, amoung other things.. Finally drove it yesterday to get it registered after work (had the clear title, insurance, bill of sale in hand, and plate from my last truck that was not yet cancelled because I wanted to keep my plate). I was pulled over immediately after leaving work and arrested for ficticious plates??? Not ticketed, warned, etc, but cuffed and arrested. I was amazed they can do that on a vehicle you just purchased with all documentation in hand.. Treated like a criminal the entire time..

So make sure you have a temp registration, apparently this along with window tint is a hard criminal offense...

You finally sold that White truck.

Sucks to hear what happened but I wonder how far did you have to go and did you give the cop a attitude? Sucks but what you were doing was illegal.

You must have caught his eye and he seen no plate. Does suck should have gotten the Temp Plate. Do you look Mexican by chance? :roflmao:

Cochise county, Sierra Vista City police. First time I have ever been pulled over by them and no I gave no attitude. For me that was hard too because when he first pulled me over he was already offensive with me?

He didnt really give me an official reason to pull me over, I had just put the plate on the truck but he mentioned the fact that I didnt have mudflaps (but with nobbies still on the brand new tires and a fresh lift kit you would think they could figure out it was just lifted).

I understand pulling a plate off another vehicle is illegal but my previous vehicle and having supporting documentation? I am going to fight this. I do not feel they had reason to arrest me. It is not so different from having an expired tag... Ticket at the most... Unfortunately the law is subjective, and constantly interpreted differently.

I am definitely not mexican haha. Pulled over fresh out of work, in dress slacks, loafers, and a button down so if he was profiling he must have a problem with federal budget officers

So you put your OLD plate on the truck that didn't match the description and or vin? Around here they call that miss-use of plates.

I feel for ya and the cop was way harsh but unfortunately with in the law. IMO you were better off with NO plate and probably in court that is what it will be reduced to ,failure to carry or have proof of registration.

Looks like you gut a pissed off cop or a Dodge or Ford fan. :D

He could have given you a break, sometimes you get them some times you don't but I agree he was a bit harsh. Hope it works out for you and get those dam mudflaps installed! :roflmao:

Have any new Pics? Your White truck was a sweet truck.

No plate didnt match the vin, apparently thats enough of a reason to be considered fictitious? But they are transferrable, at least here. Thats the only reason I had the plate still so I didnt have to pay for a new one..

Ya he had a grudge without a doubt.. haha.. Thanks I liked my LB7 too.. I will be posting pics soon of the truck.. So pissed its impounded right now after all the work..

The problem in Arizona is they are constantly losing vehicles across the border by using fictious plates. Being around sierra vista one would know its a bad idea:D this happend quite frequently when I lived in Tucson. They take them across the border and return with the plates for another score. Sucks that he was overly moody but I don't recall ever being pulled over in Tucson a pleasant expirence ever and I did it plenty of times in the late eighties and early nineties:D They are just plain mean and out to make a big arrest every time they pull you over. been there done that lost my license 4 times between the ages of 16-19 and paid out over $6500.00 to the good ole state AZ ( my wife was being a smartass and added up all my tickets one time:rofl:) She would say "Just think how good your luv would look and how much faster it would be if you didn't get tickets" damn women, there's no fun in that!

Im going to fight it.. It was excessive. Its concerning what some officers consider to be a serious offense.

Outside of taxes I will never give the state that much money to misuse... Im sorry they sucked that much from you..

x2 on the dickhead.
