Fleece makes (atleast made) a stand alone variable geometry controller. I knew a puller who ran a vgt on his lb7. That would work to get you set up with one of these new Danville chargers !

You are correct. Unfortunately finding one of those is like riding a unicorn and fleece is very busy so they don't have time to make one. I've been looking for one but so far have been very unsuccessful. I would really like to find one so I could do some testing with my pickup.

If you know that guy and he wants to sell it let me know.

Sorry for muddy your thread Mark :(

Well, this is somethin now isn't it...

I've been watching this thread and am seriously interested in this charger, I wish you had this out a couple months ago!

I have two questions:
1) in a twin set up, what's the reasonably attainable HP potential of this turbo with an appropriately matched atmo? And would the 4718 be an appropriate atmo?

2) will you take your VGT72 charger in on trade for this newest Danville creation? The 72 I just had you put together has 500mi on it :D

Anyone else get this thing on yet?

Also, will y'all still buy core vgts? I saw you mentioned only gonna use new cores for your dp turbos now since this little gem came out. But have any other use for them?

I really want this thing since I don't plan on injectors or a pump for this truck! I'm still nervous about vgts hurting a piston though

I really want one for my dd, and I have 30% injectors and dual pumps on a stock short block!

Will this turbo handle 100 HP shot of NOS at a brush pull??? Lol! Really though, will it?

TX of course
The way I look at if it ain't cracked yet well it might not.... Hell you might be better off get those EGTs down and lets the engine breathe easier with the better flowing turbo. I'm just not sure I want a turbo that spools ANY slower. Maybe port and ETC my LBZ. I sure don't need to be able to make over 900hp twined or tripled.:D

Ok guys, on the nitrious questions I have no idea since I haven't ever tried it and don't intend too either! Use at your own risk, lol! Andy, wastegating comes in when your manifold drive shoots well past the total boost and power is not increasing with it. Then you need to gate around the small charger. I never gated my 72/triple 366's @ 1150hp cause the numbers stayed close to each other!:thumb:

Truck is up and running. Only got a few easy miles on it but so far, I believe it is going to be an awesome charger. Give me a couple more days and I will let everyone know what I think about it

So I have a Wehrli S480 twin kit that was originally built for a 4094 that I was going to mod the piping on to work with my S464 and I was wondering if this turbo would bolt right in and work in place of a 4094. Forgive my ignorance, I'm somewhat turbo dumb at the best of times and after not even driving my truck for the past 2 years I'm really starting to fall behind.:(

99% sure it's the same. But that's an assumption!
