I already bought a Pro 5-0 shifter for it and put all new exhaust from the headers back. It will be getting a line lock, LS6 Heads and a custom ground cam in the future. With good tuning, I should see close to 450 at the wheels and get some solid low 11s on motor.
I would get prc ls6 heads or prc 227cc heads and I know of a few guys that could get a a very healthy custom cam for it! Btw good looking car!
PRC heads are nice but box stock ls6 heads do well also and are only around $400 for a good used set.
If u wanna hit 450rwhp u will need work to the box stock ls6 heads only have 2.0/1.55 valves u need some good porting to 2.02-2.04 intakes and 1.57/1.6 exhaust and mill them so u get 11.1-11.5cr.
My 408 had ls6(243) casting heads that where well ported look in my sig it made 540 it had 11.3 cr custom cam fast intake etc so u will need like of air and cr to get 450 out of the ls1

My car is also a six speed and won't see near the loss through the trans like your 4l80. I know several people that have achieved my goals with the same setup. I'm not hell bent on dyno numbers either. This car made 415 to the wheels with a custom ground cam and stock heads in the past.
Those numbers where threw a 60e nvr dynoed it with the 80e and yes need track times instead of dyno #'s
