New Charger Pics

Finally some pics of the new charger

Specs are:

S400 frame
65mm inducer wheel
98mm exducer
1.00 Ar installed now, with a 1.10 housing siting on the shelf to try out
74mm turbine wheel
GT42 install kit ( thanks Maxlly and Johnboy for the hand me downs)

Hope everyone enjoys, definately the biggest 2.5 charger I have ever seen. Hoping to see boost around mid 50's when the intercooler boots situation is figured out

I thought you had the S400X or was it the 465? Learn me please.

Regardless of what you installed you have the set up to go big if you choose.... really big.

It is a 65mm inducer S400. I could be mistaken but I dont beleive the 65mm wheel is extended tip "X".

not to nitpick but have you thought about wrapping your AC line with some heat tape?......Not trying to say your turbo will get hot


DEI sells heat tape FWIW,probably get it at any performance shop if your interested

X 2 on the heat tape on the AC line. You have a nice aluminum elbow there for a BOV ! Get them boots straightened out I have blown mine off there 4 times. A good welded bead or a rolled bead. Then lots of torque on the clamps. (lots ) . I have been in a s 400 duramax and with the right tunning it will light .

James, I call the turbo a S465 because it is a 65mm S400 charger. No this charger is not an ET wheel but I dont not have any problems lighting this charger

Simon, I have some Header wrap in the garage I just have yet to wrap it. The truck is still at my buddies shop getting the intercooler piping fixed
