Started gathering driveline parts to go into a new chassis. Once I sell my LBZ CCSB I will shift all resources into finishing the rolling chassis. No decisions yet on the engine, maybe try something in billet this time.

Yes sir. 2wd tube truck chassis is in the the works if the deal goes through. How's your truck running?

Good. It's still holding together.

That will be bad ass. I still kick my self in the ass for not buying that race chassis Russ had for sale a couple years ago. Can go so much faster for cheaper

I know what you mean. It will be nice to have a chassis to rely on to make better use of the power rather than just engine torque and a blistering back half . It's fun making these heavy trucks fly but the breakage and compromises ruin it in the long run (for me at least).

Why not a 480? Dont need the extra gear?

Using what I have readily available. TH400 w/transbrake and straight cut gears already on the shelf from another project. Tall tire and tall gears should keep me in the rpm window I need without the need for OD. Lots of options to add lockup capabilities and have a trans designed exclusively for the track.

tire test fit - getting some dimensions for the rearend and shock placement. Some of the existing tubing will need to change but it's a start
