I still have it. I hauled it down to the new place yesterday, once I get the motor out and torn down I think I'll know what I'm going to do.
from what i could see looking in the holes of the block i saw one rod cap was ripped off the rod and could see the sheared rod bolt, on the other side i could see the wrist pin got ripped out of the rod. i could see the small end of the rod right by the hole and there was just a half circle left on the rod end.... still cant believe all this damage and before the bang there were no odd noises.
Well one rod is in a million pieces, piston is hammered, cam got hit, nothing is seized, bearings look good, crank is still in one piece. No idea what happened here
The bolt I saw was a squirter bolt, rod bolts were still torqued. Piston skirt is smashed. Did not crack a piston that was another thought I had.
Weird... Think a skirt may have broke off? I have never heard of one doing that but can't think off much else that would cause that much carnage so fast, with little to no warning.
I figured I'd update this in case anyone cares.
Took the 6 rods and had them very very thoroughly inspected, of the 6 I took 4 of them are bent. No twist, just bent to the extent of making them .005-.020" shorter....

I think we all care to some degree. At least care enough to want to find out what happened and the extent of damages. So what's the plan now?

Right now still unsure, with my lml and everything else I've got going another build isn't really in the budget. Been considering sending the lml down the road as I much prefer my 01.
At this point I'd really be starting with nothing if I were to build it.
