well i have had a bit of time to think about what i want for next year and as of now this is the game plan:

use my stock lb7 block, cut my stock lb7 pistons to 16.5 cr, new crower rods, arp main studs, stock main caps, hopefully billet oil pump, i will use my already custom pushrods and new rocker arms, current 38 lpm injectors, arp headstuds, ati damper, new ats/suncoast flexplate, i am going to sacrifice a set of heads to be cut, tested, etc, to out local-proven machine shop to cnc my set of heads to be ported/polished, will use current custom springs, retainers, keepers, locaters. the cam is tbd, considering doing an empire cam but im not sure what i want to do at this point, dependent on turbos.

Turbos are undecided, i was thinking a custom billet 71/ billet 91 but Tadd wanted me to try his setup- billet 71x3, yes tripples.

As for the trans, i am going to run a 5 star ATS for sure and i would really like for ATS to work with me to handle what i would like to accomplish next year, we will see....

havent really updated this since i have been waiting on parts. few things have changed since, got a girdle, used my crowers, new cast pistons, billet main caps, etc. machine work should be done in the next couple of weeks.

i really wanted a stout bottom end, been waiting on the billet main caps for some time. at this point im almost regretting no going with forged pistons, hopefully i wont regret it.

well.... took a bit longer for parts to arrive than i expected but got all the hard parts in so our machine shop should get it done in the next week or so.

need to ship off the bearings with the pistons once i get them back, get them coated and get this thing assembled

The one thing that has me a bit nervous is with the cam i had them cut .080" valve reliefs and opened the bowl a bit, i just worried that this is going to lower compression more that i had wanted and won't like starting on cooler days since i still wanted to dd this truck some.

well things are taking a lot longer to get started than i had ever expected:eek: i got the block crank etc back friday and my pistons and bearings should have been here but didnt arrive. They should be here today around noon so after work i should be able to make some kind of progress. Tonight i hope to be able to get the crank laid and hopefully get the pistons/rods in.

rod bearings are the same... looks like i need to get the x bearings. it will be a week until i can get coated bearings again. whats the verdict on coated bearings? i had both the mains and rod bearings coated but now im wondering if its even worth the hassle.

The main goal of the truck now is to run it once and a while, try and run a ten but i am going to start dding it again. should i go ahead and do coated since i will be putting a decent amt. of miles on it.

well not that there is much interest in this i figure i started a thread so might as well update it.

Pistons/rods are in, cam is in(didnt have time to degree it last night) did a few other things and called it a night. Today i should get my upper oil pan back, our TIG isnt died the other day so i had to take it to another shop to have a -10 bung welded in for the oil drain.

As of yesterday the heads are on, front cover, oil pans, accessory brackets etc. Couldn't start on valvetrain since somewhere washers for the headstuds went missing along with a m8 bolt.

The washers should be here Monday so I should be able to finish up the top end and finish up the turbo fab stuff. As for the turbos I ended up getting a precision 76mm ball bearing with a one off turbine housing that should really speed spoolup tine. The atmosphere turbo is also a precision billet wheel, ball bearing 94:D

Well haven't been gaining much ground in the past couple days. Overcame several issues like a blown heater core but it runs correctly now. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to put some miles on it
