Today was a beautiful day to work on my truck. I've been pushing it off for a bit too long and finally found the time to get it done. My brake fluid was overdue for a flush, fluid was black like engine oil. It had a spongy pedal after I did a hydroboost flush last month when I changed out my steering box. Did a flush using 2 quarts and the pedal feel has greatly improved. The performance rotors and yellow stop pads were definitely a day and night difference, barely tap on the brake and it'll slow it down quicker than I expected. I preferred to stick with AC delco rotors and they are special duty type with slots. I didn't want to go with the drilled type because of cracks that will develop over time. My front rotors were shot from being overheated and the pads had plenty of life left but were glazed. Same issue with the rear but the pads were nearly gone.

TX of course
Pads are EBC Yellows not from GM never seen those rotors though. Pretty cool. I just hate all the dust you get from EBC Yellows, but the stop really good. IIRC the green ones don't dust as bad,

Yep, Mike got the right part numbers. I used AC Delco front and rear rotors but used EBC pads all around. I'm not too worried about the dusting part, my rims are black. I wasn't sure if the AC Delco durastop ceramic would perform good as the EBC, hence the reason I went with the EBC yellowstops.

I had an air vacuum brake bleeder that I picked up from Harbor Freight. It comes with a bottle to fill the reservoir, what I liked about that was it has a valve to adjust the flow to the reservoir. Less mess that way and works good. It was about 35 bucks at a local store. Worth every dollar.

Raybestos and Napa sells the same identical rotors as the AC Delco I picked up. It was cheaper to get the AC Delco special duty rotors through Amazon. I believe all 3 brand name rotors are made by the same company which is probably Raybestos. Overall, I'm happy with the quality of the rotors and the pads. Quality is very important to me, I hate doing things more than once due to a parts failure from store brand parts such as Autozone or Advance Auto parts. I refuse to buy their parts except for well known name brand parts off their shelf.

Nice choice. How's the braking power? Need to replace the rotors on my rig soon and I'm looking for possible options.

After a few months, brakes are awesome. It definitely makes a difference over stock and I find it funny that mine stops way better than my wife's acadia denali.

That's a nice set up. Glad to hear they are performing well. I'll definitely keep this in mind when it's time to change mine.
