I went back to the track last night and removed more weight. It was allot cooler also, I ended up running a 8.04 in the 1/8 th. This was on my economy-daily driver tune, still dont have my race tune running right. I went with really high hopes of running at least a 7.99 . I did have fun, I beat a few cars that came in on trailers! I did end up losing to a lightning by a fender and soon realized I forgot to turn my lift pump on. Next trip to the track it will stay on all night! The only other diesel was a Ford with a stack and lots of smoke. He ran 10.XX all night, didn't get to line up with him. All in all I'm still satisfied, I did improve on my last trip to the track. Going back in a few weeks to shoot for 7's again, wish me luck!

Congrats on the time. 8.0 in the 1/8 is moving pretty good. What all do you have done to your truck? If your running those kind of times on a stock motor/turbo, I may have to redefine what I call an economy tune...

I run at a 1/8 mile track in Sharpsburg N.C. As far as my mods, I've got EFI, liftpump, and exhaust. I still have my unmodified stock intake, which I think is hurting me a little. The economy tune I have is one Dustin and DrHoliday made. I run it because the Acid tune from Dustin just doesn't run very good on my truck, I think my CP3 may be getting a little weak.

They will be closed for the next two weeks and will be running again on Saturday Nov. 13. I'm going to try to make it then, I'll be sure to let you know. What nights do ya'll do test and tune in Creswell? I've been to all the Pro Diesel Challenge events there and would really like to see what my truck would do on that track.

I don't know if OBX will have another test-n-tune this year or not, they just had one Friday night, there might be one more. They have been kinda slack this year. It's a good track, though. I'll have to keep checking the website. Come on down so we won't be the only trucks there.

Ends up I havn't been able to make it back to the 1/8th and there now closed. I plan to go to Jacksonville on the 8th of Dec. and see what I can do on the long track. My 1/8th is about .5 sec quicker than the last time I hit the 1/4 and I now have a working race tune, new tires and cool air. If any of you guys are interested in coming the track is going to be doing runs from 12:00 to about 4:00 IIRC. This is a Saturday.

It's running a little better now. At the time the Acid tune I got from Dustin was throwing 0087's so I had to run the economy tune he gave me. Also I had Michelin LTX's that were worn out and I could'nt launch hard. I'm hoping with the revised tuning and the new tires I'll hit mid to high 12's?

Yes...I ran 8.01 in the 1/8th on my 12.73 run so you should get deeper than that with a lighter truck...mine weighed 7300lbs when I ran that time

my 12.55 was the 7.99 in the 1/8, but i was running 285-17 bfg's....so you should easily run mid 12's?? im thinkin i need to change tires, for next year??

I'm running the stock PYO's and 265-75-16 BFG's. If things work out I may be able to borrow a set of cheater slicks mounted on stock rims.
