Agree. Lose the 20's and get your 1/8 mile time down and the rest will fall into place.

Did the lower tire pressure help?.

And if your are still spinning bad. You can always try a 2nd gear launch. I leave at 30psi in 2nd on my 12.35 passes

Yeah I am going to ditch the 20's next time at the strip for sure. I mean the tune I am running is holding 20-21k down the track so I'm pretty sure it's not a rail pressure issue. Just need to lose some weight and get my launch down.

When are you switching out of 4wd?

you shouldnt ever be switching out of 4wd when you're running the 1/4 mile.

Great way to blow up your transfer case.

Would you yank a manual transmission out of gear when you're WOT with 800hp and without letting off the throttle/without using the clutch???????

Because thats effectively what you're doing if you go pulling it into 2wd while you're screaming down the 1/4 mile track......dont do it!

Are you using tow haul mode? That's good for a tenth or two. Before the 475 my truck ran pretty close tohat. It was like 13.01 at 103. With 1.85 60's.

Can you explain WHY and HOW he would he switch out of 4WD under such load?

I know a few of my buddy's with ProCharged 6.0 on 33" mud tire trucks that are doing that and one of them uses the 'Auto 4wd' button at the track as well. I did that with my old 1500 as well.

Point Blank! This is all a learning curve for me, I'm only going off of what I knew from the gas side.

Your still 1/2 second slow and 4-5 mph slow at the 1/8 mile split times.

You need a solid 1.7 on the 60 ft with at least an 8.1/85 mph in the 1/8th to break into the 12's.

Try a set of stock size tires and get your suspension set-up better.

;)

I ran this weekend in billings with real close times. I ran 13.12 on stock Pyo's 245/75/16's. I think I was launching to hard tires were spinning & horrible 60' times. My best 60' was 1.807 5.379 @330' 8.363@ 1/8th 82.13mph 10.943 1000' leads to 13.12@ 103.17. Next time I am gonna show up with 305/50/20 Toyo proxesll and see if it will hook better. Probably a set of caltracs also.

A 1.8 on your lift doesn't sound that bad to me. With your twins, how are you not powering into the high 12's on PYO's? What was your weight?
