I am looking at buying a 04 lly 3500 crew cab with 255,000 miles. I drove the truck and it drives and runs good. It has a edge programer also but i don't know what one or how to use it.Is this to many miles and is it good or bad to have programmer?

that is a lot of miles, but if the price is good that would be the make it or break it for me. An Edge Juice w/ Attitude on 5/5 has the power to limp the stock transmission, with that being said you might want to look elsewhere but it is up to you
I can buy the truck for $10,000. I have ben looking for sometime in my area and this is the best deal that fits my budget. I just need the truck to last a year or so.
If you have the funds to rebuild the trans then it may be worthwhile. If not, I would keep looking. I bought my 03 with 190K miles on it for $9500. I have since put about $5K into it with mods and maintenance. It runs great and will for a long while. However, going into it I knew I would be throwing some money at it.
