LLY: Needing help on 05 Duramax suspension

I traded in my gas 11 Silverado for an 05 Silverado 2500 6.6L. Now I'm leaning on diesels as I go well this is where I'm stuck at. My truck is lifted 6" pro comp it has a iron bumper so the front end is heavy as hell! I want to level it I went to a shop said they can do it which I spent 400$ on torsion keys to replace my stock ones, they said they got it done all that. Well I went to the shop got it and it didn't really seem leveled, I told em about it he said the next thing is get a bigger lift in general. He also said they did make it higher. When I got home it still had a sag to it is there anything else I can do besides lifting up more and spending thousands? Or is there a way I can get the front end higher leveled or more then leved because it does rub a little which I'll be grinding out soon! I just don't like the sag look at all! Please help

Put shorter blocks in the rear.

And 400 bucks to level????? Keys are 70. Shock extensions are 50. And FYI most lift come with leveling keys already unless they weren't installed. I'm opening a shop.

$400? Did they just tell you to close your eyes and bite the pillow?:woott: (while he was jack hammering away did he wisper in your ear "Im not gunna hurt you")j/k. Smaller blocks in the rear or taller lift up front. Just watch cv angles with it cranked up and be prepared to wear parts twice as fast with it cranked to the max.

Yeah believe me I was like what f@$!. The keys are stock but I think it's so much weight on the front end I don't want to go lower on the back I wanted higher in the front but I'll have to see how much crank I got left.

I was looking under my truck right now and on my left side the bolt has a little more threads on the keys and on the right side it has a lot more threads! So I'm good to bring up higher? Sorry for the late reply I been busy

First off, that lift kit is one of the worse ones out there. The steering drop down bracket has been known to come loose and/or break pitman arms. Nothing about it stays in the correct geometry either.

Second, 99% of most actual lift kits (not leveling kits) do not come with lift keys. Some kits require you to put more crank into the stock keys for the required lift but not all.

Third, don't go any higher. You are about as high as I'd go without risking adding more wear and tear on steering parts or causing more issues with that lift. Take a tape measurer and measure from the top of the tire straight up to the bottom of the fender front and rear, this will tell you how level/unlevel it is. If the front is low, put some drop shackles on the rear or a smaller block or remove the monstrosity on your front end.

Personally, I'd be looking at a different lift

James - excuse my ignorance on lifts... but why is the sway bar upside down and that sorry endlink looking jacked up? Is that part of the lift instructions to flip it, etc?

Most likely in the instruction to do so. Depending on the size of the lift and mfg, some have you flip the sway bar, others have you leave it and give longer end links. Flipping the bar never puts the end links at an angle as nice as leaving it (unless it's a really tall lift) but it's cheaper to do then adding longer end links. Part of the reason I have a hard time keeping end links in my truck as well.

The knuckle lift pro comp offers is miles ahead of this old style kit. They use to offer an upgrade kit for old lifts like this. No idea if they still do
