So I'm going a different direction with my F100 project and looking for advice. Project is the F100 in my sig, 3.9L isuzu diesel procharger D1sc, HE351 turbo, 650cc pump, large injectors etc. I'm shooting for roughly 600hp but havent had it on the dyno yet since its in the tear back down phase. I am wanting to go AWD and knowing I will need some heavy duty parts due to the little diesels tq I figured I'd come to you guys for advice. With the truck just the way it is in my sig right now it weighs 3860 with me in it so I'd imagine another 5-600 pounds after all the awd stuff is added but should be under or right around 4500lbs.
What tranny and AWD transfer case do you think I should use?
I am strongly considering getting rid of the 5R110 I currently have and go back to a built 4l85e from a duramax powered van (since they come with hardened internals already). The only Tcase I can find that may work is one from a silverado SS the NV149, its a full time 4wd case with a 36%front to 64% rear power split. Do you know of anything better?
For the front diff I am probably going to use one from a chevy 2500 and go IFS so its fixed and will be easier to make the truck sit low.
