Ok I need some more ideas about that it scares me to do it but I have seen it done. Had trans in puller rebuilt and was looking at some pulling trucks that with Allison in them still and some don't run cooler is that a good thing or a bad thing. I am pulled both ways and don't know what way to go, anyone have any ideas. I was going to run a cooler in box with a fan or just loop the line right back in tranny with no cooler.

You're kidding right? How do you think a baby in a hot car with window rolled up will fare?
Why would you think a red hot trans would be beneficial?

Mike, I just want to know how you understood any of that post. It's either the drunkest post I've ever read or someone was simply hitting keys on a keyboard and autocorrect was making words out of them.

Allow me to interpret. The baby will not fare very well at all and possibly and an possibly succumb to the heat.

You should run a cooler as your transmission can and will succumb to the excessive heat build up. Your fluid will become "water" and will not lubricate the clutches nor build pressure needed to have holding capacity causing early DEATH!

Let us know how it works out for you should you decide to not run a cooler!

I wouldn't be sceered if it wasn't my truck.

Or one your warrantying.

For a puller why wouldn't you put at least some sort of cooler in it with a fan to at least cool the trans between rounds. I looped mine just so I could pull it in and out of the garage while I was doing my swap, but I wouldn't dare drive it more than a mile or so easy without one on it. Allison tells you right in there manual to expect the fluid coming out of your trans going to the cooler to be 80-100 degrees hotter than the sump temp. So if your sump is 200, the cooler is seeing 280-300. And if you don't believe it, put in hose rated for 280 degrees, and run it for awhile. I did before I read the manual about temps, and kept losing my line going from the trans to the radiator because it was eating the inside of the hose from the heat. And my sump temps never broke 215, yet 280 degree hose was failing every 2-3 weeks.

Seen this done on drag cars and trannys lived.
A puller....I would be scared to do that unless someone else was paying for the parts and labor.
