I'm looking to buy a turbo for my 03 lb7. I currently have a stock ihi that is peaking at about 20 psi and I think it's on it's way out. Now my goal is to locally sled pull and race a little bit and I want to stay in the 2.6 class for pulling. Also I'm trying not to spend more then $ 1800! Now I know that's asking for a lot but does anyone have some advice?

HTT promax s366 or any other S300 you can find , if you dont have to tow a s466 would be a good choice also but hard to find used .

for that money you have to hope to find something used. otherwise, you might consider buying a used stocker to replace your dying one and keep saving until you can afford a new/good aftermarket turbo.

Where you located, out of curiousity?

Good luck.

There is a modified s400 64-71-14 for sale. Is that something to consider?

it should keep you in the 2.6 class , never ran one to see if they are laggy ? if you dont tow i would say grab it . if towing duty's are in your future i would stick with a s300 . or ask some one who has ran one , it might not be bad or laggy at all ?

Are you refering to the one on DP? The s64sx with install kit for 1800? If so then yes thats a great deal and turbo. If you are still wanting to tow you might consider going to a small exhaust housing like a .90 or a 1.00. I run a similar turbo with a 1.10 housing and it s a little laggy for towing.

Seems be be S465 are very afforable, but your going to have to source a pedistal for it. Unfortunately there also seems to be very few budget minded turbo's for the D-max
