That's bad:( I hope it's just a broke push rod or something easy to fix!

It's ticking and acting like a valve lash worked lose and laid the bridge over just enough to keep 1-2 valves open..

Course I can't find my 17mm wrench and I don't Cary Leslie quick connects with me. Or feeler gauges. Down to wire harness and injector lines then pull uppwe valve cover in the AM.. Nice thing advance is 1 block away from the hotel...

Broke and a 1000 miles from home sucks. I own many cheap tools because of it. Hope it's an easy repair.

Upper valve cover is off.. Non smoking mechanical gun.. Checking valve lash.. Should have check injector balance rate before I pulled it apart..

Kinda shocked how dirty these oval bowls run... The amount of soot build up for 20k is impressive! Ptwc is .002-.0025 ring gap is .018-.019

I'm sitting/wrenching in a hotel parking lot.. With little more than limited tools.

Got everything back together.. Engine still sounds the same.. Can't start engine via key, efi "doesn't see vehicle", jump the starter engine runs, but nothing in the dash works.. Including gear indicator doesn't work.. Batteries where disconnected while wrenching so both shorted

You might try unplugging one injector at a time on the drivers side and see if you can figure out which hole is making the racket.

Double check all the connectors you took apart, make sure none of the pins got bent or pushed out of the connectors.

Isn't Shane down there in Florida somewhere? Maybe try pming him and see if he's close and can lend a hand or tools.
