What are you guys using to clean intake parts from trucks with egrs? I learned that it ruins my solvent and on the hot water washers it makes a mess. Does anyone have any tricks of removing the black tar?

As long as you are replacing all the seals brake clean works well. Just used it on an LLY intake last week. Just don't get it on any rubber parts you want to keep.

Louisburg, KS for now
I've had the best luck with diesel fuel from the pump.
Soak the parts in there for a day or so and the baked on oil on turbos wipes off.
My second choice is super clean but diesel fuel works the best for me.

I usually post over on DF so sorry my post count is so low, but I just cleaned my stock y-bridge in a small tub of gasoline with a mixture of brake cleaner and carb cleaner. Worked very well.
