I have a 06 LBZ with, 4" straight exhaust, shim kit, air dog 150, brute force intake, S.C. stage v, cognito braces and sleeves, and a pretty hot race tune. My best time yet is 13.36 with a 1.84 60'... What is the next mod i can do for less than a grand to get some more H.P?? (maybe bigger exhaust, downpipe or nos?). i just want more. Thanks for any help!

whats your race weight, and whats your 'hot' tune? Getting your 60ft time down will help your et some. Spring clamps and playing with your tire pressure and launch would help there.

Whats your end goal? With a little more info there is def enough knowledge on this sight to get you to just about any speed you want, lol.

thanks for all the help. right now i am running a race tune from rob and it feels great, but i havent tried anyone elses tune. my MPH is 100 even, and 1/8 mile is 8.44... this is at sea level and about 90 degrees.. I would love to get in the 12s without spending big money!
oh ya my truck is a crew cab short bed.. at factory weight with 295/75/16 tires

one is your truck is tuned by rob, its proabably not going to help by switching to someone elses tuning. rob know his stuff. two you need to get some smaller tires and work on your 60'.

As was said get your suspension set up right and figured out the tire pressures to get your 60' times down. But at 100mph I don't think you are making the power of the other fast LBZs around. TIM Z is trapping 101 with a 6" lift and big tires, on a bad run throwing a P0087 code.

As far as I know Dr. Holliday above is still the fastest stock turbo fuel only LBZ. The time in his sig was done with a stock intake and downpipe still on the truck, and if he would ever get his @$$ back from Iraq to make a few passes this year I'm sure he'd be faster. He has an ECSB with the spare tire removed and at the track he has removed the tailgate and seats (IIRC he has run 12.4s @ 107 with the seats in as well). He has run 12.4s on 4 different sets of tires, one set being 285-75 BFG ATs. The same tune on CCSBs has gone 12.5s. @ 106-107.

I would get with Rob and let him know what your wanting to do and what your currently seeing , once you tell him you are looking for " max effort" tuning I am sure he is going to have a bit more to squeeze out of it .

X2. Rob is an outstanding tuner and does just send you a run of the mill tune. Like Trent said let him know you want all you can get out of it. That and like everyone else said, get your suspension dialed.

x2 on this. Suspension set up and learning how your truck likes to launch will go a very long way in getting your 60ft times down as well as your ET.

I can't wait to get back and see how far we can push the stock turbo on my truck :D

You can probably lower your 60' by a tenth...Do what everyone has posted, lower torsion bars, front tires @ 30-34 psi, rear @ 28-32, clamp rear springs and launch it around 2,000 RPMs...

^^^ agreed,

Also if you are running Rob tune, have you talked to him? I'm willing to be he can get you a little more out of it. Is it a "hot" tune or a race tune. You have the goods for 12's right there already, Dont think you need to spend any more money.
