Yeah see what's up with that motor wade.

Thing has me sick, I'm in the middle of a garage project and getting ready for a new roof on it and the house.

This thing wasn't ran any harder than anyone else's truck and the LLY got 25x the abuse, I had a stupid gut feeling 100k was it on these Pistons and I'm not sure why.

My reason for the short block it one, price and two is my motor looks like a 2k mile Texas motor

I know the feeling. My lml broke the crank at 115k miles all stock. Never beat at all. Just about had me ready to sell both my duramax's.

I'm scared that's what will happen next. I'll have a couple weeks to get a plan of attack.

I may end up punching this block out and slapping malhe 20 overs in it, may do delipped LB7 Pistons or my first plan and just another short block.

They wanted 3500 for an lml long block that was pulled apart and checked out. 500 for a core fee. Short block was 1800. Complete engines ranged from 4500-6500 depending on milage plus core fee of 1k.

I just bought a complete 18k mile engine from a 15.5 lml from them. I had some issues with the accessories on the engine. But they were super nice about the whole deal and more than willing to make it right.

Why would they charge you a core fee? It's not a reman engine.

I agree with Tom, those guys may have been cheap when they first started out, but they want a pretty penny for some basic junk.

Decided to bite the bullet and get a 20k mile long block and am getting some body work done and a new rear bumper, then I'll either keep it for a farm truck or trade it for a 13-16' f-350, tired of paying for something that's just sitting in the garage.

Go 15-16 if at all possible. Much better turbo. I'll probably never go back. I love my 15 250. Even if it is a heavy pig. With a 150 hp tune the thing is a blast. It's nice not having the random crank breaking or split piston issues in the back of my mind.

Totally agree with this.

If you go with a Ford stick with a 2015+.
