Just lost a piston 160 miles away from home in PA, it's a perfect crack as it's using minimal oil and no knock, just a lope and lots of blow by.

Needing a CHEAP shortblock. Don't care about miles it just needs good parts and needs to fit LBZ/LMM.

If you shut it down as soon as it happened you might get luck and just put a piston in it. If you keep driving it you need a motor. Sorry that it happened. I just got back from a test drive on a LBZ with 445k of the hardest miles you could expect and it still runs like new. Crazy how these things work.

Aw Reger, sorry to hear. Id do what Jeff said first.

IMO, Hicksville is very proud of their parts. Id rebuild it myself first.

Whats reasonably priced? Just curious.

They wanted 3500 for an lml long block that was pulled apart and checked out. 500 for a core fee. Short block was 1800. Complete engines ranged from 4500-6500 depending on milage plus core fee of 1k.

I just bought a complete 18k mile engine from a 15.5 lml from them. I had some issues with the accessories on the engine. But they were super nice about the whole deal and more than willing to make it right.

Yeah see what's up with that motor wade.

Thing has me sick, I'm in the middle of a garage project and getting ready for a new roof on it and the house.

This thing wasn't ran any harder than anyone else's truck and the LLY got 25x the abuse, I had a stupid gut feeling 100k was it on these Pistons and I'm not sure why.

My reason for the short block it one, price and two is my motor looks like a 2k mile Texas motor
