Okay two weeks ago I was having problems with air getting into the fuel lines. Ya'll told me to rebuild my filter head I did that, and this morning, the same thing.

Started up the truck, ran for about 10-15 seconds and then died. Got out and again no pressure on the filter head primer button. What could it be now it has ran fine for over a week since I rebuilt the filter head?

There's lines that come out of the filter head that go into the ficm...on the pass valve cover. As well as check all your injector lines...they are known to rust/leak

Bought new wif sensor from oriellys and fixed. I would think u would notice it though as mine was leaking pretty bad. I couldn't get it tight enough to stop so I just replaced it

DO NOT GET IT AT THE STEALERSHIP!!!!!!!

Yeah no joke I called a dealership to replace the injectors they quoted over $4500 a local diesel mechanic that is the best in my county quoted me less $2000. I trust this guy more than the dealerships as well he was a CAT diesel mechanic for over 30 years before opening his own shop!

i thought the fuel cooler had return fuel going through it  i guess thats what i get for paying attention to detail. to the op, im sure the guy that you are having do the injectors is a good technician and all, but just because someone says that they were a cat tech dont mean jack. i work at a cat dealer and i would that half of the people that work in the shop are complete idiots. i am actually not sure how they have made it this far in life. i couldnt tell you how many times we have had trucks come into our shop that were messed up beyond belief because billy joe's buddy, billy bob, was a cat tech somewhere one point in life and "fixed" his truck. but also, make sure you are getting good injectors too. 2k seems to cheap to be having good injectors put in.

external on the frame right in front of the fuel tank

the reason the dealership charges so much is because the guy doing it isnt just a diesel tech hes a factory trained diesel tech, they charge more because they know what they are doing and that's all they get paid to do, plus they only use OEM parts. so to everyone tyhat calls it a stealership you r comments are just ignorant.

but yeah an independant shop is always cheaper especially if they let you bring in your own parts

Well when he quoted the price on injectors he said he though they were around 150 a piece, I know that is way to low and he even told me that seems low but he didn't have the catalog in front of him. I'm guessing after labor this will be close to around $3500.

Ed Bozsarth Chevy in Topeka KS did our injectors 3 times bfore even telling us the tech wasnt a diesel tech... Stealership is accurate

I've read one of his forums about his luck with injectors.. and he's on his fifth set waiting for the sixth set to go in his truck had at the time I read the forum like 300,000 some miles still six sets is way to high for that amount of injectors LB7 or not

3 sets in 20k miles

The truck has been run hard no doubt it has pulled accross the country with our 48 foot six horse in tow baught it new in 2002, been a great truck just injectors are crap, we are now at 38X,XXX miles and waiting on the 6th set to go in. The set my pops and I did ourselves lasted around 120-160k miles but now return rates way out and balance rates are +/- 8-9.

Doing alot of traveling accross the country I am sure bad fuel happened a few times but always keep 4 or 5 extra filters in the truck. I am getting the truck ready to start heavy hauling again as our LML has too much work to keep up with. But water pump injectors and it seems glow plugs are all a bit tired so a good tune up is in order.
