Just got my trans built and back in on Monday. Relearned everything, shifts great and does awesome! But I've been hearing a noise...(didn't notice until a day or so afterwords) I also have trouble getting it in and out of 4wd. I pulled the transfer case today and pulled it apart. Everything looks great. I put and encoder motor on it today and didn't help at all. 4wd is still giving me he'll and making this noise.

This video is driving in second and then shifting down to first. The noise is quick in second and while rolling is really loud in first. Any ideas?

He said it sounds like the transfer case, I pulled it apart and looked inside today and seems to be fine. It almost sounds like the encoder isn't all the way in gear and is rubbing. But I'm going to pull it again tomorrow and he's going to tear it down Monday. If everything is all good in it. Then we ill be pulling the trans back out... But he doesn't think it's in the trans.

I'm ready to figure it out! Tearing apart my trans case all the way tomorrow see if anything is wrong with it.

That's what we looked at the other day, no plastic or metal shavings. Didn't see anything Friday. So I just bolted the encoder motor on it and now it won't even go into 4 low. But was really busy today didn't get time to mess with it... Maybe tomorrow

Well completely tore the case apart and everything looks great. Hardly any wear on anything. All plastic on forks look new! I'm so confused right now... Going to check some voltage to my encoder motor just to try an narrow my 4wd problem down. Other than that I'm lost..

All voltages and grounds were good... Still don't see what it could be! Getting very irritating.

After closer listening; it sounds like one of the friction clutches is not riding on the splines. I would guess it to be the top C3 friction clutch.
