I drove a 01 federal on 245's and 6 speed conversion. Was very impressed with the mpg it got, best out of any Dmax I've driven.

245's though. Anyone who's not a grandpa has upgraded to at least 265's

I've gotten 24 on the highway before I couldn't care to get any better, after all its almost 7k lbs

Running 37s 8 inch lift and I'm getting 21 mpg with air box, exhaust, lbz intake elbow and efi live and that's running 75 down the interstate and I get 18 pulling a boat going 70-75.
But about the trans I think I'll just stick with the 5 speed and get the gear selector, to make a 5 speed into a 6 speed is stupid expensive and I won't gain but maybe 1-2 mpg more maybe so just gunna do a sc build what stage do you guys recommend want to get twins someday and be in the 750-800 rwhp range

There is a good way to prove it. It's called hand calculating by someone that knows how to count. It's a known fact lifts kill mileage. It's also a known fact that bigger tires kill mileage. 2 strikes against you so far.
Now here you come with your magic tires and lift, showing us a dash picture and expect us to believe it.

You got a light out!! Lol. You must be Rollin on 60's to only be pullin 900rpm. So if it's showin 27.9, by my calculations you should be around 31-32mpg. Lol.
