need help to cool down tranny temp

So how much should I drain if it's cold? Meaning if the fluid is cold. And also instead of starting a thread,

Mike, does changing fuel filters help at all with defueling? What's the best way to get the quickest shifts without having to get a trans tune and risk breaking my tranny.

Good info mike. I just went through this with over full fluid. We hit 90 for a straight week and i was hitting 212 after an hour of back road driving. Drained fluid right to hot level and much better. I have the deep pan also so I'll try bringing it down some more after i do a pan drain.

I was running it at that level for well over a year, it just was never hot enough out to let it get that high.
