Need help for choice of lift kit

Time is coming up of needing new tires for my 2003 gmc lb7 and figured id get some new wheels since my stock wheels have chrome pealing off.. Looking at some 20 inch rims with maybe a 35 inch tire thinking of doing a 4 inch lift kit not really wanting a 6 inch.. Was wondering what all would need to be done to make this work I like the look of how this truck looks.. https://www.customwheeloffset.com/w...-outside-fender-suspension-lift-3-custom-rims The reason I like how this looks over a 6 inch is it feels the wheel wells up more any help welcome..

Get a 6" and lower it to a 4". Ride quality will be much better. For a lift company, there are many good ones such as cognito, CST, zone, RCD....

Are you wanting to lift it? Or just wanting bigger tires? With the correct backspacing you can run 35's stock I've got the torsions turned up and I'm running 37's stock I trimmed a little of the front bumper and fenderwell but it isn't noticeable really.

My last 2 (lifted) trucks I've installed 4" lifts, bars maybe 1/3rd cranked and 35's.. They ride better then stock set up like this and it fills the wheel wells nicely. The downside to running 35's on a 4" lift (not cranked) is you will have to do some trimming to run the 4.5 B/S wheels most companies recommend running with the 4" lift.

Im going to lift it.. Been looking at the tuff country 4 inch rough country 4 and the zone 3 inch not sure which would be better Was looking at a 20x10 rim with -12 or -24 offset so backspacing would be 4.5 or 5 inches and tires would be toyo open country mt 35x12.5

Glad you chimed in was doing some research on google and came across your red gmc with 4 inch lift and 35s.. With a 4 inch lift and the bars cracked 1/3rd cranked like you said did you have to do any trimming?

Yes I did. If you crank the bars you could probably get away without trimming with 35's on a 4" lift but that's counter productive IMO since it will ride like sh!t. If you really don't want to do any trimming do what was suggested earlier and run the 6" Decranked with 35's, should sit around 4 3/4 IIRC

My buddy has the identical LBZ to me. He has his bars cranked and I have a 6" Fabtech. Both of us are on 35's and we both had to trim the plastic trim on the bumper to clear. Neither of us have much of an offset either.

But yeah mine rides much better than his so I recommend the lift for sure.

I would stick to a four inch lift. Crank the front with a -24 offset. If you don't the front wheels might stick out about 2-2 1/2 inches. And you'll have horrible rub. It's not good for performance but will give you the look your after.

I dont mind doing some trimming just wondering how much id have to trim just a little or a lot?

What size wheels and tires you have in your picture? and what offset? Do yall think a -12 or -24 would be a better choice? I dont want the tires to stick out real far but would like them to stick out some maybe about an inch or so to give it a good look.. Im pretty new to the truck stuff I mostly have done high performance car stuff.

Are 5" rear springs to much on a 6" lift? I don't want to use blocks but also don't want my torsion bars cranked to accommodate the springs.
