Ok so I figured out my strange noise on my truck. The bellow on my up pipe was parted. I am part way into the tear down now. So far I have two bolts snapped off on the passenger side manifold. I thought I was going nice and easy with them but I guess I was wrong. So now I'm afraid the same will happen at the turbo. I plan on doing both up pipes too.

If it does happen and I end up pulling the turbo to get snapped off bolts out is there anything I should do to it while it is out? Rebuild? Batmowheel? Truck only has 67k on it.

Shouldn't need a rebuild with only 67K on it... Just check the shaft play. As far as a batmowheel, I wouldn't waste your money on a stock turbo.

If you want to do something to the stock turbo, hit up Russ (yellowchevy) for a p-n-p.

I usually do the exhaust bolts with the engine hot. May not be pleasant but it works. When putting it back together use nickel anti seize.

You have no idea how bad I want to do that. If I could pull if off without the wife noticing $2500 being gone I would.

Heres what you do.. Get yourself one of those 6 or 12 month intrest free credit cards purchase with that and pay it off in that time and she'll never know

OK guys I have all the bolts out and the ps up pipe off. On the driver side there is a hard line that is preventing me from removing the up pipe. What is the line and do I have to remove it to get the up pipe out?

Sounds like a fuel line. There's a mount bolt by the fuel rail. Try loosening that up.

The two lower lines in the picture are the fuel lines, that upper bent hard line looks like it comes from the turbo like the oil drain?
