The tan colored stuff over the turbo is a turbo blanket.
It is used to keep heat inside the turbo and to keep under-hood temperatures down. I can do a 1/4 mile drag, pull into the pits, and put my hand on the blanket without hurting myself. Really great stuff!

Give him a call. I had my s400 blanket on my porch in like 3 days. Think it was around 90 bucks. Cant remember the exact price though.

I can't imagine it would hurt any. Wouldn't shock me if there was a slight sound decrease
No affect on noise lol
The idea of the blanket is to keep as much heat as possible in the turbine. Heat=energy, energy=booooost
