as long as you're still holding positive pressure isn't that all that's needed???? regardless of hp output? your cp3 is trying to pull and and as long as your pressure feed is positive isn't that saying your cp3 is well fed? it's only positive because there's a restriction of some type.

Am I off in left field here?

That's what I was thinking also! :thumb:

And why are they telling you not to run it at high duty cycle? Or did you misunderstand the duty cycle chart maybe? I imagine its much like my aeromotive where 100% is at like 17.5v. I would just recommend using a pressure regulator

Because they told me not to. Alot of drag racers run there's on a boost referenced speed. Tech told me for my application, a toggle would be best. They are not designed to run full speed for more then 15 mins.

Not an electronics guy, but that being said ...

IIRC, there is type of transistor that lets current flow when the signal is 0, and stops current when the signal is on.

So you hook that into the CP3 PWM line. When it's idling, the lift pump gets little power. When the pressure is commanded high, the lift pump get full power.

I guess I don't understand why you cannot just run what we all know works, AirDog 150/165, FASS 150 etc full time and call it a day. Seems like more trouble than it's worth.

Cause air dogs a piece of junk, and my filter less fass coulda used an upgrade.

I'm definitely with you on the Air Dog. Their machine work and fittings are ignorant as all hell. they could easily move the drillings in the filter head base to prevent the fittings from hitting. But that's outside the scope of this discussion.

I've installed a few Airdog's without any problems or failures. Hell I've had one on my truck for 7 years. If you're really having all these failures, it seems it might be due to something else like bad fuel from a local station.

These are spread out around central ky. I wouldn't have said anything about my thoughts on them but was asked why not just use that instead of what I bought. I for see this be a much better pump (brushless motor even) than the competition that's at or even higher priced.

Figured I would ask, I always like to hear other people's thoughts and opinions on products based on their experiences. Thanks!
