Ive come to a conclusion that Im going to find a wreck donor vehicle and swap the stock motor and trans into my truck. Then I will cut my losses and sell this truck.
Ideally I want a LBZ for the next project. My plan is a streetable 600-700ish for now until a bottom end is financially feasible. My questions are what can I save and reuse on the LBZ.
Current parts that will be left over as follows -
1. Suncoast Gmax5 w/ ML converter - Can I have this gone thru and swap the new LBZ valve body and TCM into it, making it a 6 speed that will work in the LBZ? Ive read that there is some small issues doing this.
2. Wicked Stg 3 Cp3 - I understand these are pretty finicky to tune. Would I be better off to sell this and get a dual stock cp3 setup?
3. Batmo S475 - I want to reuse this on the LBZ. Obviously itll work with the right pedastal.
4. Profab Manifolds and up pipes - 98% sure these will work on LBZ no problem.
5. Profab Y bridge and pedastal - Not sure if these will work...
6. Exergy 60% - Ive read that the injectors will physically fit in the LBZ heads but are controlled differently.
7. ARP studs - Ive read also I can reuse these as long as they are torqued correctly.
8. AFE IC tubes - I know the drivers side one will work but Im 99% sure that LBZ has a different passenger side tube.
Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. I just want to run it by you so I can get an idea of what I need to sell. I figure that this stuff is already paid for and isnt damaged in any form, so I might as well put it to use.
