I never knew that! I guess I should have asked. Thanks for the info though! I might have them throw my downpipe on since they only charge like $80 for installation. I have seen that a lot of people have made homemade tools to get the bolts off of the back of the turbo and I dont want to mess with that.
Once you've slipped the tranny it will only get worse. I slipped mine once and it was down hill from there; about 3-4 times after the first time in 80hp tunes roughly.
I'd have Mike Bodine build your tranny over smoken diesel.

Yeah thats what I plan on doing. I need to find $3800 in my couch cushions first! Yeah after I slipped my trans the second time I am very light footed in 4th and 5th gear.
last i knew, mike builds smokin' diesels transmissions lol. they aren't built in-house. they keep built ones on the shelf, put ur truck on the lift and swap it with a built one. then they send your old one to mike for a rebuild which will end up in a totally different truck.
As of last summer he wasn't. Things may have changed but that's what know. You need a tech 2 to reset your taps as well.

Mike doesn't do work for josh anymore. Josh's are built in house using suncoast kits by the two transmission guys from cable dahmer. Mike is the Allison man, no question asked!

Nathan, do you know anybody at the Corvette dealership there in town? My dad bought a new dark green vet from them in 79 or 80 and i am trying to track it down and need a vin# , i have called and talked to a few different lady's but never get a call back. They did say they where in bushiness at the time so it had to have came from them.
