Got a new noise on my truck yesterday. It's a "Tink" type noise (sorry, that's the best I can describe it ) that starts around 30MPh, goes away around 45MPh, and seems to be directly related to tire speed. My first thought was I picked up something big like a bolt in one of my treads. There's nothing in any of the tires. Next thought was front wheel bearing. Nope. Wheel bearings are tight with no play. I'm probably going to poke around more when I get home today, but does anyone have any other thoughts? Could it be a CV?

a cv usually make noise when turning. bring a friend to a parking lot and do some 4wd figure 8's. a bad cv will "clack" . if not it, you have a one piece shaft? just pull it and check joints.
