EFILive name on bottom of speedometer

how do you get your name to be on the bottom of your speedometer, i have seen a couple people on the forums that did this.

you can do it with EFILive

Search your computer for the text document: messages.txt

IIRC you can only fit 19 characters (counting spaces). You don't have to use _ for space, you can just put a space. Punctuation works as well. If you use more than 19 characters it's not a big deal, you will just only see the first 19.

This is only for EFI Live users, not sure if HP Tuners as something similar.

Here is what the text document looks like when you open it. These are the messages that you normally see while reading or flashing tunes.

[MESSAGES]
DONE = EFILive FINISHED
LOCK.01 = LOCK IN PROGRESS
FLASH.01 = EFILIVE FLASHSCAN
FLASH.02 = FLASH IN PROGRESS
FLASH.03 = www.efilive.com
READ.01 = EFILIVE FLASHSCAN
READ.02 = READ IN PROGRESS
READ.03 = www.efilive.com


Now you can change them to say what ever you want like so:

DONE = HOPE THIS WORKS
LOCK.01 = SHIT WHATS THE CODE
FLASH.01 = CLAY'S A TUNING GOD
FLASH.02 = EVEN FASTER GREEK
FLASH.03 = PLEASE DON'T BLOWUP
READ.01 = WHAT TUNE'S IN HERE
READ.02 = LET'S MAKE A TUNE
READ.03 = DURAMAXDIESELS.COM

Save the file and the next time you read or write tunes these messages will be displayed in the dash in place of the EFI Live messages.
