Under The Hood
Alright guys, need some help here.

For various reasons I have decided to start my own online and on site retail company. I plan to sell various things in the future but right now, LED work lights and light bars are my startup and many, many other thing will be added. Menzerna polishing compounds has allowed me to be a distributor. I plan to add more detailing supplies and more importantly more German tools........

I've got my entire business plan and everything ready but I am unsure about the name.

Over the years I have decided that a business name:

Should not have a name it in. 1st: Names are hard to spell over the phone and limit you somewhat. Not always but having the name as the primary subject of your business is not always the best.

Should be as simple as possible so its easy to put into google. Make sure its easy to spell out based on what is heard. Keep it short, make it unique but easy, make sure it doesn't limit you (AKA Joe's Dirtymax repair, limits you to dirtymaxs).

Many people find a name and go wow that is awesome Im sticking with it. Well then there is me. I have come up with "Gudentight". Why? Many people have heard of the German torque spec "Gudentight" and I plan to sell a lot of German stuff. It violates the rules of the "easy to spell and sound out" but I think maybe it is a good name. The only other company using it is a fencing company out easy.

I know I have too much on my plate already but what do my peeps think?:roflmao:

Bless you. I'm sorry, I thought you're name was a sneeze:) I'm pretty helpful huh. I bad with names and have no imagination. My friends and I have always used the first initial of our last names. Example for us is SLB Racing.

I started a business myself and had a hard time coming up with a name too.

If you want to keep it simple how about,

VDS inc. (Vinnys Detailing Supplies), if selling tools might not be the best

VW inc. (Vinnys Warehouse), being you're kind of a volkswagan person, haha

VCT inc. (Vinnys Cool Tools)

GG inc. (German Geryt's), I'm Norwegian/Swedish so my German isn't the best:D

Geryt inc. (Tools)

VGG inc. (Vinnys Gudentight Tools)

TS inc. (Tool Strong)

Obviously these aren't the best names but if you want to keep it simple with just letters it still looks good. My name back home started a machining business years ago and he named if after his sons; TSR (Tod, Shawn, Ryan).

Good look and you know we'll buy stuff from you, I know I will:D. I need some detailing supplies and shop lights BAD!!!
