Renting the track and having an official come out doesn't constitute a world record if it states right in the rules that it must be at an event... Period. This isn't the Guinness book or world records where your trying to see how many times you can spin on your head. I'll say it again the truck is fast no doubt. But what gets me is the one sided cheerleading that goes on for one truck. Conflict of interests hit the nail on the head. Correct me if I'm wrong but ever thread congratulating Rob on his record pass was by individuals stating that he broke a record at an NHRDA event... Operative word here being event.

If Banks did it 2yrs ago it was just them setting a record for the fastest Duramax, I don't think, and I could be wrong here, that they were claiming the fastest NADM Duramax. Setting a WORLD record is setting a record no matter where it's done as long as it verified, however that doesn't make it a sanctioned body record. To me this just seems like a reach to get NADM back into the spotlight... Looks to me as though it backfired.

Oh yea sledpulling is gay lol.

They were on back order on the tires i run for the last two months, my tires were shot from running all season long, so i got what i needed to race . MT are on the front too.

dont see where it matters what i do being important to you....do you thrive for drama?

Regardless of what people agree or disagree with...i respect the time and mph that your truck made no matter if it was satan himself or Jesus behind the wheel. The truck looked and sounded wicked... I have my opinions on how/why/what got the truck to this level, but all in all..nice times and congrats!:woott:

Banks did it, and no one had a issue with it....Yep at a test and tune.

i see no problem with it then or now. a pass is a pass, as long as the SFI techs are there to witness and bless the runs..

But lets look at this problem NHRDA isent even a sanctioning body, there records holds no credible sanctioned support. So with that in mind are there records legit?

However NADM is a SFI sanctioning body, just like IHRA and NHRA......

NHRDA has no sanction.

WTF does SFI have to do with the racing records?

Nothing. They write safety specs and sell stickers.

In fact, I lost a lot of respect for SFI recently.

A safety gear mfr didn't pay the right amount for the stickers according to SFI, so they released a memo to race orgs that the gear "did not meet SFI approval".

Here's the problem: It's not the racer's fault, but that's who pays. You buy a $1000 firesuit, where the tax WAS paid, and your race org blacklists it anyhow. Now you miss races while you fight with the MFR, or you buy again. The original suit's safety has nothing to do with the sticker payments.
